Invasives never rest…

More resting benches
And the trails crew installed a couple more of Jamie Doig's lovely resting benches in 707 park and, of course continued their ongoing hard work removing tree falls and trimming trails all around the island.

Conservation Survey
On July 23 we closed out our month-long Conservation Survey through which we're trying to discover how much our community is aware of the conservation work that GaLTT does on Gabriola. Over 300 people filled the survey and analysis is on-going. [...]
Resting benches in the 707
Jamie Doig built two more beautiful resting benches using wood donated by Tom and Charlotte Cameron, and our team installed them in 707 Community Park on the Jeanette Trail and at the lookout point.
Focus on tansy
During July our wonderful invasive species volunteer teams shift their focus to Tansy Ragwort. They began with organized work parties in the Whalebone Community Parks and urged islanders to remove it from public spaces in their own neighbourhoods.
Cut broom in bloom
