We are 20 on the 20th—and you’re invited!

Please come and help us at GaLTT’s Birthday Bash to celebrate 20 years of conservation and trail work and get inspired for our future. Everyone is welcome—bring your whole family!

When: Saturday July 20 from 2 to 4pm, rain or shine.

Where: Twin Beaches—Gabriola Sands Provincial Park on the grass near the baseball backstop

Come socialize with us in this relaxed family event. Dance or sing along while Jake Galbraith sings and plays favourite campfire songs (or, as he says, “simply know that the musical world loves you”). View the posters showing what we’ve been doing for 20 years. Enjoy some traditional races for the young at heart.

Bring your own chairs or blankets and your own picnic if you wish. (You may need your blanket for more than one purpose since we will hold the event rain, shine or gale). We’ll offer birthday cupcakes and bbq hotdogs and drinks by donation. Don’t forget to carry home your own trash— “leave no trace!”

Questions? Email programs@galtt.ca.

And to get you warmed up to celebrate… Enjoy some “then and now” photos! (Some of the “then” photos are older than others; we’ve been at some of the work we do since the beginning, but some initiatives started more recently.)

PS: have you ever considered volunteering for GaLTT but never quite made the leap? There’s something for everyone’s abilities and interests, come and talk to us about it!
