At the beginning of March the Lions Club pitched in to help GaLTT improve accessibility at Pilot Bay (Twin Beaches) by spreading huge loads of suitable “cartpath” gravel on top of landscaping cloth over the previously widened and flattened paths. Once the gravel is thoroughly tamped down, the paths to outhouse and viewpoints will be wheelchair accessible.
Our Mandate
GaLTT is a non-profit, charitable organization with a mandate to protect and restore natural ecosystems on Gabriola and nearby islands, to help provide trail access and other opportunities for people to explore and connect with the natural environment, and to encourage responsible land and water stewardship practices.
