This presentation, which is a fundraiser for the canoe project, is joint project of the SFU/Snuneymuxw Syath: Living History and Culture Project and the Gabriola Land and Trails Trust.

In this presentation about his Healing Canoe Project at the Gabriola Elementary School, Beau Wagner, artist and carver, will share the teachings (snawayalh) of his Stzuminus master teacher/carver, teachings around our connections to wood and the wilderness, teachings about life and our relationships to all living things.

  • Where: Gabriola Elementary school, at the edge of the forest behind the playground
  • When: Tuesday, March 15, 10:30 – 11:15 (approximately). In the case of rain on March 15, the presentation will move to the under cover area of the school. Please bring your deck chairs.
  • Cost: minimum donation $20 to GaLTT. All donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. All money raised will be given to the Healing Canoe Project.
Preregister by emailing programs@galtt.ca. A maximum of 25 people will be preregistered and there will be no registration on the day. Details of how to donate will be given when your registration is acknowledged.
