Join us this Wednesday for a Native Plant Recovery Party!

  • Wednesday, January 11th at 2pm
  • Meet at 1420 Fisher Road
  • Duration: 1-1.5 hours
  • Pre-registration is NOT required
  • Please bring work gloves, trowel, shovel, and hand pruners, if you have them!

If you’re new to native plant rescue or GaLTT work parties, please arrive at 1:50pm so we can give you an orientation and welcome!

This is a great opportunity to learn more about what’s involved in the Native Plant Depot and Recovery Coordination!

We’re seeking 1 or 2 people to manage the Native Plant Depot and recovery team.

This fun and impactful role includes:

  • Organize and care for the plants people drop off at The Commons
  • Promote the Native Plant Depot and encourage people to take rescued plants there (with the help of our Communications Team!)
  • Respond to requests for help rescuing native plants and organize work parties to do the recovery (with support!)

BONUS: we’re happy if you’d like to share your passion by leading workshops on native plant propagation!

Email programs@galtt.ca for more info on how you can help.
