After all the work our volunteers did last year clearing Daphne from Queequeg Community Park and adjoining trails, we are excited to be moving to Step 2—Restoration. The RDN is providing shrubs that we will plant to prevent Daphne re-establishing. Before we plant, we need to prep the site by cutting Daphne that has re-sprouted.

When? Sunday January 23 at 1:30 pm

Where? Meet at Queequeg Community Park in Whalebone

Why? To prep the site before planting native species

What to bring: Gloves; loppers if you have them — we provide them too.

Sign in: All volunteers need to sign in and sign out for insurance purposes.

Covid protocols: Please wear a mask while signing in and ensure social distancing while you work.
